Saturday 10th March Belvoir Archers held their 1st Anniversary Founder Members Shoot. 10 club members and 3 guests shot the tournament. It was a gusty, overcast, cool day, but everyone enjoyed themselves. Mike Spare, our guest of honour, had a nother “brilliant” day, whilst Peter & Tony Emery brought their longbows over to shoot for the day.

The Tournament was a close run event, with Steve Gamble coming third with 1434, Bryan Haynes (shooting Recurve) coming second with 1436 and Mark Charlish (shooting Compound) came first with 1466, well done Mark. Not far off the mark in 4th place was John Styles with a 1428 – well done Stylo.
Following the shoot, we were looked after by Julie at the Barnstone Country Club with Bacon and Sausages butties killing the hungar pangs and a pint of beer wetting the whistle. Tony Emery baked an excellent cake for the occasion, sorry Tony, we ate it all and did not manage to get a photo – you will have to bake another one!
